MOVA LiDAX Ultra 1000 Robot Lawn Mower: 3D LiDAR Mowing for Lawns up to 1,000m²

The MOVA LiDAX Ultra 1000 is a wire-free, RTK-free robot mower for larger and more complicated gardens up to 1,000m². Its UltraView™ 2.0 system combines 360° 3D LiDAR with AI vision, so it holds its position under trees, beside tall houses and at night, which is where GPS-based mowers usually struggle.

This is the model we'd point most acreage-edge and large suburban blocks towards. It cuts from 3cm up to 10cm, which suits Kikuyu and Buffalo lawns kept a little longer through summer.

Key Features

  • UltraView™ 2.0: 360° 3D LiDAR + AI vision: Stable positioning in bright sun, low light and weak-signal spots. No RTK station and no boundary wire.
  • AI-assisted auto mapping: Map by remote control in the MOVAhome app, with 2D and 3D map views.
  • 3–10cm electronic cutting height: Adjust from the app, with a smart floating deck that follows the ground.
  • UltraTrim™ 1.0 edge cutting: Mows to within 5cm of the lawn edge, so there's far less whipper-snipping.
  • Handles slopes and obstacles: Climbs 45% (24°) slopes, crosses 4cm obstacles and passes through 60cm gaps, on off-road wheels.
  • 3D AI obstacle recognition: Detects and avoids over 300 types of lawn obstacles.
  • U-shaped path planning: Neat parallel passes instead of random bouncing.
  • Two maps, multi-zone control: Run separate front and back yards with their own zones, no-go areas and channels.
  • TrueGuard™ security and anti-theft: Live video, auto-patrol, lift-up alerts, AirTag compatibility and optional 4G tracking via the Link Module.
  • Rain sensing, quiet and washable: Returns to base when it rains, runs under 57dB and is IPX6 rated for hosing down.

Frequently Asked Questions

What size lawn is the MOVA LiDAX Ultra 1000 suited to?

Lawns up to 1,000m² with slopes under 45% (24°). It mows 170 to 190m² per charge and recharges in about 60 minutes between runs.

Does it need a boundary wire or RTK antenna?

No. The LiDAX Ultra 1000 uses 360° 3D LiDAR and AI vision for navigation, so there's no wire to lay and no RTK station to install.

Can the robot mow in the evening or under trees?

Yes. UltraView™ 2.0 isn't thrown off by shadows or changing light, and LiDAR doesn't rely on satellite signal, so it works under tree canopy, beside buildings and at night.

I have an open lawn with no clear borders. Will it work?

Yes. You drive the mower around the perimeter with remote control in the MOVAhome app to set the boundary.

Will I still need to trim the edges?

UltraTrim™ 1.0 mows to within 5cm of the edge, which cuts down trimming a lot. Expect a quick touch-up along fences and garden beds.

Can I check on my yard while I'm away?

Yes. TrueGuard™ lets you view a live video feed through the app and start a patrol of the yard.

What's the difference between the LiDAX Ultra 1000 and the 1200 AWD Flex?

The 1000 is rear-wheel drive and rated to 45% (24°) slopes and 4cm obstacles. The 1200 AWD Flex has four hub-motor wheels with front suspension, handles 80% (38.6°) slopes and 6cm obstacles, and trims to 3cm of the edge. Choose the 1200 if your block is steep or bumpy.

Where can I buy the MOVA LiDAX Ultra 1000 in Australia?

Robot Mowers Australia sells the LiDAX Ultra 1000 at MOVA's recommended retail price of $2,499 including GST, with setup help and servicing from our Sydney workshop.
