ProKut Premium Bar & Chain Oil — 1 Litre

ProKut Premium Bar & Chain Oil is a heavy-duty, high-tack chainsaw bar lubricant developed for loggers and serious chainsaw users. The 1-litre bottle is sized right for top-ups on the job, on the workshop bench, or in the back of the ute.

Engineered with enhanced extreme-pressure additives and surface-wetting agents, it stays on the bar and chain through hard cutting — even in wet, sappy timber — so your bar and chain run cooler, last longer and waste less oil.

Use it on

  • All petrol and battery chainsaws
  • Pole saws
  • Open chains on portable sawmills and timber-cutting equipment

Key Features

  • High-tack, low-sling formula — resists fling-off so the lubricant stays on the chain
  • Extreme-pressure additives — extended bar and chain life under heavy load
  • Surface-wetting agents — displaces moisture and keeps clinging in sappy or wet timber
  • Amber colour — clearly visible for spot checks on the bar
  • 1-litre bottle — practical size for trade users and home cutters

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use it in my chainsaw?

Yes — ProKut Premium Bar & Chain Oil suits all petrol and battery chainsaws, pole saws and open chains such as those on portable sawmills.

What does 'high-tack, low-sling' mean?

The oil is formulated to cling to the chain at high speed rather than flinging off into the bush. That keeps lubricant where it's needed — between the chain and the bar — and reduces waste.

Can I use regular motor oil instead of bar oil?

No. Motor and gear oils don't have the tackifiers that bar oil needs and will fling off the chain at operating speed. Using the wrong oil shortens bar and chain life and starves the saw of lubrication.

How often should I top up the oil reservoir?

As a general rule, top up the bar oil reservoir each time you refuel a petrol saw, or every time you swap the battery on a cordless saw. If the chain is running dry by the next refuel, increase the oiler setting.

Why does it work better on sappy timber?

The surface-wetting agents in the formula displace moisture and sap from the bar groove and chain links, so the oil keeps lubricating instead of being washed off by wet wood.
