Segway Navimow X315 — FAQ
What area can the Navimow X315 mow?
The X315 is rated for lawns up to 0.5 acres (around 2,000m²). It's best suited to compact residential properties with one or two mowing zones. If your lawn is larger or more complex, look at the X330 or above.
Does it need a perimeter wire?
No. The X315 uses Segway's EFLS 3.0 navigation — a combination of RTK GPS, visual mapping, and visual-inertial tracking — to define and hold virtual boundaries. There's no wire to bury. Setup typically takes under an hour.
How long does the battery last?
The X315 has a 6Ah battery providing around 120 minutes of runtime per charge. It recharges in approximately 60 minutes — significantly faster than most competitors. When the battery runs low, it returns to the dock automatically, charges, and resumes where it left off.
What slopes can it handle?
The X315 handles slopes up to 27° (around 50% gradient). That covers most standard residential yards. If you have steep embankments above that angle, the X330 or X350 is a better fit.
How does it avoid obstacles?
The X315 uses VisionFence — a 300° RGB and time-of-flight camera system that detects over 200 types of obstacles including pets, children, garden furniture, and tree branches. It can also identify more than 24 animal species and has an Animal-Friendly Mode that causes it to pause or reroute when animals are nearby.
Can it handle multiple zones?
Yes, but the X315 is best suited to simpler properties. It supports multi-zone management through the Navimow app, though the smaller battery means less coverage per charge compared to higher models. If you have multiple disconnected lawn areas, consider the X330.
How loud is it?
Under 60dB(A) — comparable to a quiet home air conditioner. You can run it early morning or at night without disturbing neighbours.
Is it weatherproof?
Yes. It's IP66 rated, meaning it's fully protected against heavy rain. It also has a weather-adaptive feature that monitors forecasts and automatically returns the mower to its dock if frost or storms are detected — preventing damage to wet grass.
What does setup involve?
Download the Navimow app, connect the mower to Wi-Fi, mount the GNSS antenna in an open area with a clear sky view, then use the app to map your lawn. Most installs take under an hour. No professional installation is required.
Does it integrate with smart home systems?
Yes. The X315 works with Amazon Alexa and Google Home. You can start, stop, pause, or schedule mowing by voice command.
What warranty does it come with?
The Navimow X315 comes with a 3-year manufacturer warranty when purchased through an authorised Australian dealer like Robot Mowers Australia. That means local support — no shipping units overseas for warranty claims.
