Frequently Asked Questions
How does the TerraMow V600 navigate without a boundary wire?
It uses three high-resolution cameras and on-board AI (TerraVision 2.0) to see the lawn, its edges and any obstacles. There's no perimeter wire to bury and no RTK antenna to mount. That makes it a good fit for yards with trees, tall fences or two-storey houses nearby, where satellite-guided mowers often lose signal.
How big a lawn can it mow?
The V600 is rated for lawns up to 600 m². It mows 130–250 m² per charge and 80–120 m² an hour, then returns to recharge and picks up where it stopped. A typical suburban front and back yard is well inside that. If you're over 600 m², step up to the V1000.
How do I set it up?
Place the base station on a flat spot at the lawn edge, plug it in, and open the TerraMow app. One tap starts auto mapping and the mower works out the boundary itself. Most people have it mowing on the first day. If you'd rather we handle it, Robot Mowers Australia can set it up for you.
Can it handle slopes?
Yes. It's rated for slopes up to 18° (32.5%), which covers most sloping suburban blocks. Steep embankments beyond that need an all-wheel-drive mower.
Is it safe around kids and pets?
It uses AI vision and 3D obstacle avoidance to detect and steer around people, pets, toys and hoses. Even so, we recommend scheduling mowing for times when kids and pets aren't on the lawn, the same as you would with any mower.
What happens when it rains?
The mower is IPX6 rated, so rain won't hurt it, and it has rain detection built in. The included base station garage also keeps the dock covered.
How long does the battery last?
Charging takes about 100 minutes and a full charge gives up to 120 minutes of mowing. It returns to the base on its own when the battery is low and resumes from the same spot.
How short can it cut?
Cutting height is 25–75 mm, set electrically from the app. 25–40 mm suits most couch and kikuyu lawns. Buffalo generally looks better kept at 40 mm or higher.
Do I need Wi-Fi?
It connects over Wi-Fi or 4G, so you can check on it, change schedules and adjust settings from anywhere, even when it's out of range of your home Wi-Fi.
Can I mow more than one area?
Yes. Spot mode mows a small area without the base station, and multibase mode lets you add extra base stations (sold separately) to cover separate lawns.
What's the difference between the V600 and the V1000?
The cameras, cutting deck, slope rating, app and features are identical. The V1000 has a bigger battery (98.55 Wh against 84.36 Wh), runs longer per charge and is rated for more area. Under 600 m², the V600 is the right buy and saves you $500.
Manufacturer's Warranty
The TerraMow V600 comes with a 3-year manufacturer's warranty on the mower, base station and power adapter, and a 2-year warranty on the battery pack. The warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal residential use.

Making a Claim
Contact Robot Mowers Australia with your proof of purchase. Our team will assess the fault and coordinate repair, replacement, or refund in line with the warranty terms.
Australian Consumer Law
In addition to the manufacturer's warranty, this product is covered by the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). Our products come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the ACL. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure, and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
Warranty Exclusions
The warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, neglect, improper installation, use outside of recommended operating conditions, or failure to follow the care and maintenance instructions in the user manual.
