Lymow One Plus, a robotic mower built around a real blade system

Most robotic mowers use small, fragile razor blades — similar to a box cutter. They work fine on short, even grass, but struggle the moment conditions get difficult: long growth, couch runners, buffalo thatch, or small sticks and debris that gum trees constantly drop.

The Lymow One Plus takes a different approach. Its dual rotary blades are made from SK5 high-carbon tool steel and spin at up to 6,000 RPM — the same principle used in a full-size push mower, not a trimmer. This makes it well suited to the full range of Australian grasses, including buffalo, couch, kikuyu, and zoysia, and means it can handle the kind of small sticks and debris that could jam or break a razor blade system.

This isn't a gimmick. It's a fundamental engineering difference that changes what a robotic mower can actually do on a real Australian property.

Who it's for

The Lymow One Plus is designed for residential and acreage properties where standard robotic mowers fall short — properties with slopes, uneven terrain, heavy grass varieties, or lawn areas that don't get mowed as frequently as a perfectly maintained suburban block. If your lawn has any of these challenges, this mower is worth serious consideration.

It's not the right mower for every situation. If you have a small, flat, well-maintained lawn, there are simpler and more affordable options in our range. But if your property is larger, more complex, or harder to manage, the Lymow One Plus is one of the most capable robotic mowers available at any price point.

Tracked drive system — not wheels

The Lymow One Plus uses continuous tracks rather than wheels — the same principle as earthmoving equipment, scaled for a lawn mower. This gives it grip on slopes up to 45°, stability on wet or soft ground, and the ability to cross obstacles like roots, branches, and uneven ground that would stop a wheeled robot in its tracks (literally).

Australian properties vary enormously. If yours has banks, undulations, or simply gets soft after rain, the track system is a meaningful advantage.

Wire-free navigation — no boundary cables to bury

Setup uses RTK satellite positioning combined with VSLAM visual mapping. You map your lawn using the app on your phone — typically in under an hour — and the mower navigates within that virtual boundary with centimetre-level accuracy.

There are no boundary cables to bury, no pegs to install, and no trenches to dig. The mower can also manage multiple zones, no-go areas, and mowing schedules directly through the app.

AI obstacle avoidance

The Lymow One Plus uses an AI processor capable of detecting up to 25 different object types — including pets, toys, flowerbeds, garden furniture, and people — using a combination of AI vision and ultrasonic sensors. When it detects an obstacle, it steers around it automatically and continues mowing.

This won't replace supervised operation around very young children or animals, but it significantly reduces the chance of the mower getting confused or stopping unnecessarily.

LiFePO₄ battery — built to last

Most robotic mowers use standard lithium-ion batteries rated for 500–800 charge cycles before degradation becomes noticeable. The Lymow One Plus uses a lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO₄) battery rated for 2,000+ charge cycles — roughly five to seven years of normal use rather than two to three.

The 15Ah battery delivers approximately three hours of mowing per charge, covering around half an acre per charge cycle. With the 10A fast charger, total daily (24H) coverage can reach up to 1.73 acres.

We expect to receive our first stock in early May and will ship them to customers in Mid May

Is the Lymow One Plus suitable for Australian grass types like buffalo, couch, and kikuyu?

Yes. The Lymow One Plus uses dual rotary bar blades rather than the razor-strip blades found on most robotic mowers. This blade system handles the thick runners and dense thatch common in Australian warm-season grasses — including buffalo, couch, kikuyu, and zoysia — more effectively than razor blade systems, which can skip, scalp, or stall in these conditions.

What makes the Lymow One Plus different from other robotic mowers?

Most robotic mowers use small, interchangeable razor blades mounted on a spinning disc. The Lymow One Plus uses full-size dual rotary blades made from SK5 high-carbon tool steel, spinning at up to 6,000 RPM. This is fundamentally the same cutting principle as a conventional push mower — not a string trimmer — which gives it significantly better cut quality on coarse or heavy grass, and the ability to handle small sticks and debris that would break or jam a razor blade system.

Do I need to bury boundary cables to set up the Lymow One Plus?

No. The Lymow One Plus uses a wire-free navigation system combining RTK satellite positioning and VSLAM visual mapping. You set up a small RTK reference station near your home, then map your lawn boundaries using the smartphone app. The whole process typically takes under an hour. No cables, no trenching, no pegs required.

What size property is the Lymow One Plus suitable for?

The Lymow One Plus covers approximately half an acre per charge cycle, with a runtime of around three hours per charge. Using the 10A fast charger, the mower can cover up to 1.73 acres per day across multiple charge cycles. It's best suited to residential and acreage properties from around 500m² up to approximately 21,000m².

Can the Lymow One Plus handle slopes?

Yes. The Lymow One Plus uses a continuous track drive system — similar in principle to earthmoving equipment — rather than wheels. This gives it a rated slope capability of 45°, along with stability on wet ground, soft soil, and uneven terrain where wheeled robotic mowers often lose traction or get stuck.

Can it handle small sticks and debris on the lawn?

Yes, and this is one of the practical advantages of the rotary blade system. Razor blade-style robotic mowers are prone to blade breakage or jamming when they encounter small sticks, seed pods, or debris. The Lymow One Plus bar blades are robust enough to pass over or mulch typical garden debris without stopping. Large sticks and branches should still be cleared before mowing.

How does the obstacle avoidance work?

The Lymow One Plus uses an AI vision system combined with ultrasonic sensors to detect and avoid obstacles in real time. The onboard processor is trained to recognise up to 25 object types — including pets, toys, garden furniture, sprinklers, flowerbeds, and people — and will steer around them automatically. It does not require any physical markers or sensors to be placed around obstacles.

Does the Lymow One Plus mulch the clippings?

Yes. The dual rotary blades and cyclone airflow system work together to lift grass blades upright before cutting, then mulch the clippings into fine particles that fall back into the lawn. This returns nutrients to the soil naturally and eliminates the need to collect or dispose of clippings. Fallen leaves are also mulched during mowing.

How long does the battery last, and how long does it take to charge?

The Lymow One Plus uses a LiFePO₄ (lithium iron phosphate) battery rated for 2,000+ charge cycles — roughly five to seven years of normal use, compared to two to three years for standard lithium-ion batteries used in most competing mowers. Runtime per charge is approximately three hours. With the included 10A fast charger, recharge time is around one to two hours.

Can I control the mowing schedule and zones from my phone?

Yes. The Lymow app (iOS and Android) gives you full control over mowing schedules, cutting height, mowing patterns, zone management, and no-go areas. You can also monitor the mower's position and status in real time, and receive alerts if it encounters a problem or is moved unexpectedly.

Is the Lymow One Plus suitable for use in rain?

The Lymow One Plus has an IPX6 weather rating and includes a rain sensor. When it detects rain, it will automatically return to its docking station. You can also set weather-based restrictions in the app. It's designed for outdoor use year-round in typical Australian conditions.

What anti-theft features does it have?

The Lymow One Plus includes live GPS tracking, a built-in device lock, and geo-fence alerts that notify you if the mower is moved outside your mapped area. These features are accessible through the app at any time.

What cutting height range does it offer?

Cutting height is adjustable between 30mm and 100mm (approximately 1.2 to 4 inches), set via the app. This range covers most Australian lawn maintenance requirements, from a tighter finish on couch and zoysia through to a taller cut suitable for buffalo or lawns in dry conditions.
